2020 Family Photo

It’s the 4th Sunday in Advent and that means… it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! 🎵

I plan on sending them out tomorrow so if you’re on my Christmas card list, you’re getting a sneak peek. ❤️ Joe and I will hopefully be in it next year. But this requires a timer and it was just easier for me to take the photo. I’m so happy with the way it turned out and I love these little humans more than I can express in words. (Although there are some taller than me! 😂)

It’s been a difficult week for me but their love and support and the way they came together to encourage me was such a blessing. I’m truly so grateful for them. And to think there was a time (when I was a teenager) that I said I didn’t want children. 🤦‍♀️ But God had other plans for me and I’m so glad He did. Now I couldn’t imagine life without them. 💞

Behold the inheritance of the Lord are children: the reward, the fruit of the womb.

PSALM 127:3

I’ve decided to go back to providing content on my website, here at darciisabella.com. I think we can all agree how different this past year has been and the many changes that have come along with it. What some may not realize is that there has been a lot of changes made to social media platforms too.

Content creators are now being censored for their opinions. We are limited to the things we’re allowed to talk about and specific words we’re allowed (or not allowed) to say on both Instagram and YouTube. Also the comments are frequently turned off on YouTube. They say it’s to protect children if they’re in a video, however there are hundreds of other channels showing children in their videos and their comment sections remain open.

There are also many of you who have messaged me about not wanting to go on Instagram and have asked if there is another way I can share my posts. This is when it dawned on me that I could just go back to “blogging.” I started blogging in 2007 and here I am now coming full circle. 😄

My plan now is to post all of my YouTube videos and Instagram photos here on my website as well as include regular ole’ blog posts. Each video and photo on those platforms will include a link back to its own post on my website. This will allow for you to comment under my videos as well. As always, please be kind in the comment sections.

I don’t have an email notification option (to be able to subscribe) available for my posts. This is because my website does not currently generate an income on its own and subscription services charge a fee. Right now I am using a free “sign-up” service that will allow me to collect emails and save them until I’m able to pay for a subscription service.

I’m also working on providing a membership section on my website. I know some don’t agree with this approach but content creators work hard to provide information and/or entertainment to their viewers and ad-based platforms, such as YouTube, do not provide a steady or guaranteed income. Video creators can also have their ads removed if they talk about something or use a word the social media platform owner’s deem inappropriate.

More importantly, I’m looking forward to starting a community where we can all comfortably share our experiences with minimalist living in a supportive environment. ❤️❤️❤️

I found your blog through The Minimal Mom. I love the simplicity of the layout and how the content is just enough to spark my own ideas.
Praying for you as you continue your endeavor. You have a beautiful family!

Beautiful Christmas photo of your children! But I thought you have 10 Kids? Missing 2??
Hope you will do more Youtube videos too!

I got locked out of my Instagram login and am worried about resetting it because it might mess up my girls associated accounts. So, I’m glad your blog is available.

Cordelia had a one-minute moment in one of her videos and at the end of this bit she is channeling your editing style! Her video is not related to minimalism (but at least the house in tidy): https://youtu.be/3-z4aINVycw
